Having Fun in the Kitchen
“This is my invariable advice to people: Learn how to cook – try new recipes, learn from your mistakes, be fearless, and above all have fun!”
― Julia Child
We are inspired by Julia Child, firstly, because she taught herself to become a culinary master, secondly, because her fearless attitude and love of adventure basically sums up the Krush spirit. We never (ever) get tired of learning, trying, sharing & laughing.
A huge part of health that doesn’t get talked about enough is finding these elements (learning, sharing, laughing) in as many aspects of life as possible! There are clinical studies that reveal that practices such as learning and laughter can actually improve immune function. As the hectic holidays approach that’s a much-needed reminder.
At Organic Krush we find countless ways to enjoy the people ~ and the food ~ around us. Crafting food, tasting food, serving food…these practices for us, bring great joy. This Thanksgiving Season, we are feeling particularly grateful to the Krush community that has grown around us. When we opened our doors (nearly 6 years ago), we really didn’t know much about operating restaurants, but together with our guests and our teams, we have spent a lot of time trying new recipes, learning from our mistakes, practicing fearlessness and above all, always finding ways to laugh and enjoy the process.
We thought we’d share some behind the scenes photos of Organic Krush… learning, teaching, being fearless, and above all, having fun as we prepare for a special Thanksgiving holiday!
With wishes of lightness and laughter around your holiday table,
Fran and Michelle
