Early Mornings

Early mornings have always been my time; its part of a routine that began even before I had children and a business and doggies 🙂 When my 5 am alarm goes off each day, I give myself a quick talking to, “if you don’t get up now, you’ll miss all your sanity time”…   A quick stretch, 5 deep breaths and I’m up to have my time;

There’s something about the deep peace of a quiet house, a still mind, chirping birds, a rising sun… life starts fresh each day and when I have this early morning serenity I feel like I’m setting myself up with a stability that will guide my day;

A few aspects of the routine? For me, that’s the inspiring part. Always  a celery juice (thank you Anthony Williams) and an organic cup of coffee ; sometimes a yoga practice, sometimes an Oprah meditation. Often,  in summer, it’s a beach walk and a sunrise;  (Montauk /Cali girl at heart ); This photo is of my organic vegetable garden and most mornings I pop in here to harvest fresh herbs (cilantro for my smoothie!!!). More on that tomorrow.

While the daily rituals may ebb and flow, the peace I get is always steady and real;
