I love the addition of a probiotic for myself and my kids, and there are a lot of great brands! I’ve been really into Gryph & IvyRose Probiotic Chocolate Hearts as well as Dr O’Hira’s ; they help your gut feel amazing, improving digestion, as well as immune response. I find I rarely get sick, nor do my kids, and when they do, they recover quickly. There’s more to that of course and I’ll share lots more tips over time. I suggest taking the probiotic at night, otherwise, it could make your stomach gurgly. And one more tip, add natural probiotics into your life by using a little finely shredded kimchi or sauerkraut throughout the day. I add it to my avocado toast, on top of my sweet potato, or even with scrambled eggs. A little goes a long way and won’t be too overpowering taste-wise, yet positively influential on your gut health!

4 Krush dishes that offer natural probiotics:

  • Spicy Korean BBQ: shredded organic chicken breast, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, zucchini, spinach, and kimchi, over quinoa with spicy BBQ sauce GF DF

Since Kimchi is fermented, it contains many probiotics! These healthy microorganisms give kimchi several health benefits and may regulate your immune system, promote weight loss, and fight inflammation.

  • Beach Greek Salad: tomatoes, cucumbers, kalamata olives, feta cheese, pickled red onions, romaine, sunflower seeds with red wine vinaigrette GF

Feta cheese and kalamata olives are both high in probiotics may promote a healthy gut and support immune system function. These foods also provide many nutritional benefits from vitamins, minerals, and fiber.

  • Wellness Tea: cold-pressed apple, turmeric, ginger, lemon, cayenne, cinnamon, orange, honey, water over ice GF DF

Cold-pressed apple has a diverse range of important nutrients, fibers, and microbes. Eating (or drinking) organic apples provides a variety of healthy bacteria which increases health benefits for the body.

Kimchi, tofu, and ponzu are rich in probiotics, healthy protein, and other beneficial bacteria, which can help maintain healthy digestion and boost muscle recovery.
