Several years ago Organic Krush made the switch to cooking exclusively with olive oil, and baking with coconut oil, olive oil or butter.  Not only does this mean that we’ve completely removed inflammatory seed oils from our diets, it also means that we are devouring healthy fats on a more frequent basis. Some people might express concern about weight gain when we emphasize healthy fats but I am here to tell you, it’s time now to change our mentality around fat.

Eating healthy fats like olive oil, avocado, coconut, seeds & nuts,  eggs, salmon, chia seeds, & nut butter is a supremely healthy move. When you treat your system with healthy fats it supports your gut, helps you manage your weight and as our good friends @donsaladino and @nutritioncoach_adam speak about, healthy fats crowd out sugar cravings and help you manage your blood sugar levels.

When you naturally manage your blood sugar by adding in healthy fats, it makes weight management and your life SO much easier, because instead of physically fighting off your Starbucks addiction or your sour patch craving, you actually will desire less and less of those weight gain foods. It seems hard to believe, right? Fat won’t make you fat? Truly, the way the body works, when you eat healthy fat and minimize processed foods and sugars, weight management (and fitness ) becomes a much easier routine, because you’ve got clean energy to work with.

At home, I use 4 different healthy fats for cooking, baking, and salad dressings: olive, coconut, avocado, and butter.  What I love is that the taste is fantastic, I have no inflammatory oils in my diet, and I’m constantly contributing gut-healing foods on a regular basis to my family’s day. Stay tuned for my favorite simple salad dressing of all time!

Here’s to a fantastic healthy routine! You can also find more health tips on our social media @organickrush.
